About Us
New Eve is run by Paul Massell and Jacob Spence, friends since meeting in college in San Diego in 2011.
After graduating, we found that most of the jobs available to us either didn’t pay a living wage or came with cultures that treated people as disposable: cogs in a machine, valuable only for what could be extracted from them. The default path seemed to be: find a job you don’t really care about, slog through the week, and live for the weekend. That wasn’t the life we wanted. So we set out to build something different.
We built New Eve around the types of projects we actually wanted to do: telling stories through video, solving problems with code.
We keep our team small so we can stay close to the work. When you hire New Eve, you’re working directly with Paul on web projects or Jacob on video projects—not account managers, not junior staff. For larger projects, we bring in trusted collaborators we’ve worked with for years.
Over time, we’ve built our own infrastructure to support the work we do. Our platform—eveCloud for hosting, eveClips for video, and eveMail for communication—means we’re not just managing your project, we’re often running the systems behind it. That gives us more control, faster response times, and fewer surprises.
Most of our clients are mission-focused businesses, institutions, and nonprofits doing work they believe in. We like working with people who care about what they’re building—it makes for better projects and stronger partnerships.
